Established

Started in 2016 called "Indivisible Nebraskans" the group was concerned about the incoming Trump Administration and successfully lobbied lawmakers to hold town hall meetings with their constituents, and communicated an aversion to several policy changes, including the attempted repeal of the ACA, Trump Tax Cut for the wealthy, and Anti-immigrant, and Anti-LGBTQ policy and rhetoric.

As 2020 hit the world it was a mixed bag. COVID decimated communities, faced a botched response from the Trump administration, but also helped remind people just how unqualified Trump was to lead, and helped deliver us from his administration's stranglehold and into the Biden presidency, a more competent federal apparatus. It also left our group drained and socially-distanced. Indivisible Nebraska went on hiatus until such a point as we were able to return with the energy required of us.

Now as Project 2025 reaches its namesake year, we feel again compelled to take action against the coming onslaught. Indivisible Nebraska has been reformed and is dedicated to empowering the voices of compassionate Nebraskans who believe in a government for and by the people. Through grassroots activism that Americans have used for centuries, to new methods appropriate for the modern age, we remain committed to showing those in power, Nebraska contains more than "Nebraska Nice". Come join us in our efforts, as we yet again resist the tide of fascism here in the Midwest.

What We Do

Our focus is to channel shared discontent into constructive action. These are some of the primary ways in which we work collectively.

Letter Writing

Whether its a coordinated effort to write into elected officials, or a letter to the editor of a local publication.

Organized Protest

A classic staple of good activism, showing up in the public square where our message can't be ignored.

Sometimes elected officials need a phone call. Other times it might be a neighbor who needs a reminder of what is at stake.

Phone Banking
Presence at Community Events

Being present and involved in our community is important to show that our efforts are led by neighbors and family not outside influence.

Voter Registration
Education and Information Sharing

The right to vote is a critical aspect of citizen led governance. Helping people exercise those rights is one of the most important things we can do.

Misinformation has done a number on people. Giving them the facts on the issue of the day can require a concerted and principled effort.
